Is Entrepreneurship For You?
Entrepreneur ... "an owner or manager of a business enterprise who makes money through risk and initiative."- Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

There are many reasons not to start your own business. But for the right person, the advantages of business ownership far outweigh the risks.

Small business owners are critically important to the American economy.  America's 9.1 million women-owned businesses employ 27.5 million people and contribute $3.6 trillion to the economy alone.

Being an Entrepreneur lets you to work on your own terms, keep your own money and pick and choose who you want to work with. There are no salary caps, and no discrimination. You set the goals, the vision, and the pace, but  you also do the work. You can easily spend many more hours working than you ever did on somebody else's payroll because it's all on you.

So why start your own business? Freedom. It’s sweeter than anything you’ve ever tasted. It makes you a more confident person.
It’s worth all the work.

Once Upon a time ... Not So Long Ago............
We were born into a world which told us that life and all of its successes were ours "for the taking". We were told that if we had a happy childhood, did well in school, and graduated from college, we would find a "good" job, an understanding and supporting mate, and have 2.5 children, in a house with a white picket fence, and a dog!

In our parent’s day, life was more predictable. People lived by the concept of putting God - first, Family – second, and Job – third. They hoped to enjoy ... or at least tolerate their job, where they would retire, and having earned the right, enjoy the fruits of their labor. And, because of the love and support given to their children and other family members, they were assured to always be cared for ... even to the very end.

Unfortunately now, life and the world we live in are not cooperating. Education has become extremely expensive, and graduating from a good college with even a 4.0 average, no longer will guarantee the job you may be seeking. Relationships are no longer expected to last “til death do us part”, and many family gatherings are limited to funerals and weddings.

Rather than believing that we can take hold of our lives, many of us allow others to dictate their ideas about our abilities, values and successes. Life is a game, and many of us have lost the will to win.

In order to survive in this economy you must take control of your life. Make use of support groups to gather the skills, information and contacts you need. Never be too proud to ask for help, or work with people who genuinely want to work with you.

And remember ... always take time out for your self and those close to you ... never let anyone rob you of your “Faith” , or take away your focus.
